As A Thief in the Night
A moonless night may give us unsure footing
And cause anxiety for our safety -
Such are souls who're in spiritual darkness
As they wander through life so carelessly.
Christians must be busy about the Lord's work,
Leading souls our of darkness into light
So they can be saved by the blood of Jesus
Before He comes as A THIEF IN THE NIGHT!

The Greatness of God
The greatness and the majesty of our God
Is beyond our finite comprehension -
He made the beauty of the heavens and earth
And then provided for our redemption.
He controls the storm clouds that form in the sky
And can calm the storms that rise in our lives,
He gives us Springtime-warmth after Winter-cold
And blessings of Summer when it arrives.
Our Lord God is Master of the universe,
yet, He loved us enough to send His Son
As the Sacrifice Lamb for sinful mankind -
for whom He bought eternal salvation.

Eternal Springtime
The lovely sight of Spring is incredible,
The whole earth is filled with God's glory -
I can feel its spirit and hear its music
And for us, God created it free.
Spring is a comfort after Winter's retreat -
The sweet scent of blossoms and flowers
And chorus of warbling birds filling the air
Bring thrills to my heart when Spring occurs.
What joy and excitement there'll be in Heaven
For we'll live in eternal Springtime -
The thrill of being in the presence of Christ
Can ne'er be anything but sublime!

Fininshing the Race
Awards are given in sports, in medicine
Or other great accomplishments,
Participants are praised for reaching the top.
And their names become franchisements.
Servants of Jesus might feel they're overlooked
For labor in the harvest field,
Preaching and teaching God's Word to the lost world
Gath'ring in souls for a great yield.
But the race for Christians is not yet finished
So we must keep our eyes on Home
Where Jesus will award us with shining crowns
And we'll live in His Heavenly Dome.
Everyone is a winner
when they accept Jesus
as their Savior!

Symbols of Heaven
 The anticipation of Spring's arroval
Sends happy thoughts dancing in my mind,
I love the beauty and excitement Spring brings
And the symbols of Heaven I find.
The pleasant scent of flowers filling the breeze
Tells of Heave's fragrant atmosphere,
Fireflies in the night are like God's light of grace.
Leading souls out of darkness and fear.
Trees are a symbol of Heaven's Tree of Life
God made for healing of each nations.
Butterfly wings are like the wings of angels
Who do the bidding of God's dear Son.
The songs of birds are like an angel-chorus
Which will join to sing around God's throne,
The sun reminds me of Christ's glorious light
that shines brighter than a precious stone.
The crystal water flowing from the mountains
Like that flowing from the Throne of god,
We will be given a share of His riches
And walk strees color of golden-rod.
The breathtaking expanse of the universe
Shows the Lord's awesome power and might,
I praise Him for His great creativity
In making Nature's beautiful sight.
Blue skies have a calming and peaceful effect
Like peace that radiates from Jesus,
The green grass covering the jills and valleys
Tell of everlasting life for us!

An Instrument of Cheer
A rosebush yields many buds in the Springtime,
Then each becomes a lovely bloom
Bringing much joy and cheer to the passersby,
And brightens up a gloomy room.
We can be like a lovely rose in full bloom
And be an instrument of cheer
To those poor souls who need a kind word or deed
And a Christ-loving atmosphere.

The Fragrance of Prayer
It's wonderful to experience Springtime
When wind is anointed with fragrance
Of Lilacs, Roses and sweet Honeysuckle
And blossoming trees in abundance.
Peonies and Hyacinths add their perfume
As does blooming Grape Vines and Iris,
Lavender and Lilly-of-the-Valley scents,
Also that of Wildflow'rs is glorious
While being blest by the floral fragrances,
I thought of the fragrance in Heaven
Exuding from loving prayers of God's children
When they as petitions of His Son.
